Patrick Willis - 2024 Race Starter
This year we had the pleasure of having NFL Hall of Fame Linebacker Patrick Willis be the 2024 Golden Heart Run race starter. As tradition, we also invited other alumni to come out and join their brothers for an event that gives back to their former teammates.

RACE ACTIVATIONS & ENTERTAINMENT
This year, we brought an exciting lineup of activations for both participants and spectators. Everyone had the chance to enjoy pre-race photo opportunities with the 49ers Gold Rush and Sourdough Sam, as well as receive their medals from the Gold Rush at the finish line. As you entered the stadium, you were greeted by Niner Noise and an electrifying drumline. Nike shoe trials offered a chance to test out the latest footwear, while a pre-race stretch and flex session helped get everyone warmed up.
Whether you were running the race or cheering from the sidelines, there was something for everyone to enjoy!
KIDS RACE .49K
Thank you to all of our young champions who participated in the Kids' Race 0.49K! This fun event featured a shorter distance and the exciting opportunity to race alongside Sourdough Sam. Parents were encouraged to join their children on the course, and together, they crossed the finish line on the field, where they were greeted with medals from the Gold Rush cheerleaders.
4.9K GOLDEN HEART RUN
The 4.9K run through Levi's Stadium ended at the finish line, where 49ers alumni and the Gold Rush cheerleaders were waiting to cheer you on.
The Golden Heart Run celebrates everything you love about the game while supporting a great cause: helping former 49ers players and their families navigate life's challenges after football.
A huge thank you to everyone who came out and made it an unforgettable day! From start to finish, the support and enthusiasm were truly incredible.
THANK YOU TO OUR 2024 SPONSORS!
