Seeded by the DeBartolo and York families, The Golden Heart Fund was established in 2017 to help players during times of hardship. We empower our alumni by fostering empathetic player to player relationships that break through barriers and create lasting connections.

We provide comprehensive, personalized benefits evaluations, resources, and support to all 49ers alumni with one accredited season and their families, addressing access to health, wellness, and post-development care. We want to fulfill our promise to support players who have dedicated their all to the game.
